Acts of Hope School began with a humble beginning with 8 children and gradually grew to hundreds. The school is providing education, to the under privileged children of the society at subsided fee and also free for special cases without any discrimination of caste, creed or religion since 2001. To provide the Government approved curriculum of education, a charitable Trust was formed in the name of "ACTS OF HOPE" with the trustees who had a similar interest of serving the society through education. Mr. G.S Kishore, a Chartered Accountant by profession, is instrumental in forming and registering the trust. He is the founder trustee along with Mr. Krupa Rakshana.G and Mr. Narasimhulu.D. These three trustees are totally committed for the development of the school, without receiving any kind of remuneration or fees directly or indirectly from the school.
Our school children have won first prizes continuously for the last two years in a local inter school talent competition. For the last two years our school children have own second prizes in sports competitions, conducted by the education department.
The school is providing education close to 450 children during the current academic year from LKG to 10th standard. Every one of our children comes with their own heart rendering story. We have a unique admission system, where in we will conduct due diligence once we receive an application for admission, and then establish the need for free education after analysing the financial and social position of the family and then admit the Child. Most of the children are from the families of daily wage earners, construction labour, vegetable vendors, Rickshaw Drivers, villagers, slum dwellers, single parents etc. With the support of some of our school well-wishers Prasanna Trust Koramangala is providing mid-day meal and our 450 children get a free meal every day during the lunch break. This program has made a tangible difference in the body language of the children and their attendance to the school, there by producing wonderful results in their academic and sports competitions. During the 10th standard Board Exam in march 2021-22, - 29 children out of 34 passed with 6 distinctions and 16 First classes. And in April 2023-24 out of 27 students, 23 were passed with 1 distinction and 4 First classes, which is a clear demonstration of mental & physical balance maintained by the children, from the nutritional support provided by mid-day meal program.
